Foster Youth in Transition Program

As a result of Colorado House Bill 21-1094, the Office of the Child’s Representative (OCR) now provides attorneys to youth who may or do qualify for the Foster Youth in Transition Program! Scroll down to learn more about the Program, refer a youth, or find additional resources.

Purpose: Empower older youth to make important decisions about their lives while receiving developmentally-appropriate services and supports as they transition into adulthood.

Who it typically serves: Older youth who have lived in foster care or kinship care and were adjudicated dependent and neglected; are engaged in or intend to engage in employment or an educational, vocational, or employment program; and have entered or are willing to enter a voluntary services agreement with a county department. Please note that this language outlines which youth the Program typically serves. Exceptions may apply!
