This free Core Competency training will provide an overview of the law, skills, and advocacy strategies for new dependency and neglect GAL attorneys and will introduce OCR policies, billing procedures, and supports.
Day one of this conference is a required training for all new OCR attorneys starting on or after July 1st, 2016 and both days are required for new dependency & neglect GAL attorneys.
Day two will focus on child and adolescent development, substance abuse, mental illness, educational stability, immigration, JD/crossover cases, case rounds, and establishing legitimacy/building credibility in your district.
