Lambda Legal and Casey Family programs are excited to collaborate with community stakeholders and youth with lived experience in five Southwestern states – Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah – to promote best practices for supporting and affirming child welfare system-involved LGBTQ+ youth and families and preventing system involvement. Policymakers, LGBTQ+ youth and families, LGBTQ+ community organizations, child advocates, tribes, and judges will share strengths and challenges in the work, build additional support, and develop strategies to improve safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes
