This webinar is intended to provide an overview of the foster care provisions in the Every Student Succeeds Act and pertinent Colorado State Statute related to the educational rights for children and youth in foster care. Attendees will be provided information to assist them in advocating for educational stability for the young people they represent, and have the opportunity to ask specific questions to the presenters.
Attendees are encouraged to submit questions to the facilitators ahead of time, emailing questions to Michelle at michellejensen@coloradochildrep.org by January 8th. Questions will be addressed in the webinar. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask additional questions during the presentation. The presenters will follow up with responses to questions that were not addressed during the webinar. Materials will be available for download during the webinar.
