Linda Weinerman will discuss the revisions to CJD 04-06 effective Jan 1, 2016. The revised CJD eliminates state paid attorney CFI appointments from OCR’s oversight, as those will now be governed by CJD 04-08, clarifies expectations for GALs in D&N cases and establishes practice standards for GALs in JD cases and in other case types. The CJD also eliminates the requirement for an affidavit of compliance with the CJD in D&N cases and replaces it with a certification by attorneys to OCR of compliance with the CJD in all case types.
