Human Trafficking is a lucrative and thriving enterprise that takes place around the globe and in Colorado. As part of the legislation that created the Colorado Human Trafficking Council, the Colorado General Assembly tasked the Council with the development of training standards and curricula on human trafficking for a wide range of sectors including law enforcement. This training program provides foundational information on identifying and responding to human trafficking, with case studies rooted in the Colorado context. Subject matter experts representing survivor consultants and various law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal level helped develop the program.

Learning objectives:

  • The who, what, where and why of human trafficking
  • Indicators of human trafficking
  • The different types of trafficking that occurs in Colorado
  • How to respond to potential victims
  • How to develop a holistic community response and spread awareness

CLE is pending.
This training will not be recorded, but a free on-demand online course with the same content is available.
