This session, presented by the ABA Center on Children and the Law, will focus on litigation and motions practice related to placement and permanency. The morning session will cover reasonable efforts and advocating for the best placement through litigation and in-court advocacy. The afternoon session will be focused on achieving permanency including how to best advocate for the services and needs of the client, reasonable efforts arguments to achieve permanency, concurrent planning advocacy and strategy, and advocating for your client outside of the courtroom.
