This training is open to current OCR attorneys only.
In person! We will offer spacious meetings rooms, masks, hand sanitizer, and individually packaged meals. Masks are optional in this building. We will not be asking for vaccination status. Small groups will be a max of 7 people.
Description: This day long trial skills training focuses on effective witness direct and cross examination, incorporating rules of evidence, advocacy techniques, and practical applications for lay and expert witness. Particularly focused on a termination of parental rights or other contested hearing and attachment theory. This training is appropriate for all levels of practitioners who want practice applying theories, using learned treatises, or tightening up their cross examination skills. Equally appropriate for newer practitioners looking to explore and practice more rudimentary witness examinations.
Some preparation will be required by participants. More detailed information will be disseminated in late March.
